East Carolina University's football team welcomed an honorary Pirate Saturday when 8-year-old Noah Roberts scored a touchdown during the final game of the spring practice season.
Roberts, who suffers from a genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis, ran the ball into the end zone as his teammates blocked, providing a clear path down the field. After Roberts completed the play, he was lifted onto the shoulders of his teammates, who chanted his name.
"If you didn't have goosebumps or a tear in your eye, you may want to check your pulse after that one," ECU offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley told Inside ECU Sports after the play.
If you're not stressed out at work . . . well, then, you're doing it wrong. Or maybe you work as a test patient for massage therapy students. That's the only other explanation.
A new survey by Harris Interactive came up with a list of the top eight things that stress people out at work. Maybe hearing that everyone ELSE has these problems will make you feel better.
1. Mediocre pay, 14%.
2. Unreasonable workload, 14%.
3. Annoying coworkers, 11%.
4. Commuting, 11%.
5. Working in a job that's not the career you want, 8%.
6. Bad work-life balance, 7%.
7. No opportunity to advance, 6%.
8. Fear of being fired, 4%.
