Last year at the annual Harvest For Hunger For Hunger event to kick off their season I won the Grocery Bagging challenge (not the official name) where two local volunteers roll around in kiddie shopping carts grabbing items and bringing them back to us celebrities where we bagging them properly. First to do it wins.
At today's event held at the Cavs practice courts inside the Q... I, along with a couple of City Of Cleveland volunteers (one of whom thought I was Trapper Jack -- oh well) won again for the second year in a row.
Here we are working feverishly:
Here's me throwing my hands up, claiming victory:
Now the cockiness begins (channelling Chip Kullik):
Me with my City Of Cleveland volunteer teamates in my Shopping Cart Trophy/Crown. Eye Of The Tiger!!!
I want to thank Harvest For Hunger for having me back to defend my title. they do such great work with the Cleveland Food Bank. Their goal is 16 million meals for the hungry this year after conquering their goal of 15 million last year. And I'm confident they'll reach it. Feels good to be the champ.
Check out the video of the whole event (great camera work Krystle):
Check out more pix from this morning (thanks Riley)!
