I was sad to hear that the host of "Shindig"... Jimmy O'Neil... passed away at the age of 72 a few days ago, due to a number of health issues. The "Shindig" show was a real snapshot of pop music for a couple of years in the mid-60s, and now out on DVD. In this segment, not only will you see Jimmy a little ways in, but also the recently-departed Fontella Bass (singing "Jim Dandy" haha) in a rare appearance.  Sadly, we got word of her passing just after the holiday.
