weird news today
Last week, a 21-year-old man in Texas got his $1,000 tax return . . .  then blew it all at a strip club.  But . . . he's married, and that tax  refund was also his wife's.  So he called the police and made up a FAKE  ROBBERY as a cover story.  They eventually found inconsistencies in his  story, and he was arrested for filing a false report.  There's no word on  his wife's reaction.

In Wisconsin, a pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint. The male suspect got away with $3.25 from the driver. The robber was arrested a short timer later.  **Note to crook, you should have taken the pizza.

Whistle While You Work, If You're The 7 Dwarfs

A 32-year-old man in Maine with a penchant for whistling all throughout downtown Portland has struck a deal with the city. Robert Smith – who has been cited by police twice in the past year for disorderly conduct – has been granted permission to keep whistling, just as long as he doesn’t linger in one spot. Smith’s whistling is so loud it can be heard from a block away and it’s incessant – he’ll sometimes walk and whistle from 9 am to 5 pm! The piercing sound gets under the skin of local business owners and residents alike, but to Smith, it’s all about making people happy. He says his whistling is protected by free speech and his only aim is to bring a smile to someone’s face. Something tells us an end to his whistling would really be music to people’s ears!

What Women Want To Change About Guys

The top answers:

  1. How you dress
  2. What you eat
  3. Your friends
  4. Your hobbies
  5. Your bad habits (from open mouth chewing to visiting strip clubs)
What are they missing?  Let me know!

One in Seven People Have Sexted the Wrong Person.   Oops!

According to a new survey, one in seven people have accidentally sent a dirty  text to the wrong person.

The most common accidental texts go to a friend.  The "ex" was #2.  Co-workers and family came in  third and fourth.  (Female  First)

Doctor Doctor, give me the news
A new study suggests -- ready for this? -- missed or wrong diagnoses at the doctor's office puts thousands of patients at risk of complications each year. That's right, if your doctor thinks that, say, a burst appendix is just a tummy ache, you could be in trouble. Yep, someone spent money to study that.

Yes, there it is, and it's real. It's the 7 by 7 Steakburger, part of the new All Nighter menu at Steak and Shake for, yes, $7.77.

A tower of 7 patties and 7 slices of cheese. Eat the whole thing and you just consumed 1,330 calories. Of course, balance it out with a Diet Coke and you're okay.    Source

Now That's A Workout
Newsflash: going to the gym only works if you actually work out while you’re there.

A survey revealed that 30% of people don’t even break a sweat when they go to the gym!  One in 10 say they’re actually embarrassed to perspire- no surprise, considering many only go to the gym to check out the opposite sex (in fact, lots of people joined for just that reason!).

The poll found that 40% of gym-goers are embarrassed about not knowing how to use the equipment and worried about looking stupid.  And 10% only joined because it was “trendy.”  So if they’re not pumping iron or racking up miles on the treadmill, what are people doing at the gym?  Five percent watch TV, 10% hang out by the pool and 25% relax in the sauna.  Only half of gym-goers actually stick to a serious fitness routine.

Paper or Plastic?

Today's younger generation takes a lot of heat for being lazy. Oh, you didn't know that's what people say about you? Sorry.

Anyway, you have to give them credit for one biggie... learning from the mistakes of their parents. A Pew study found that Americans under 35 had more control over their debt levels than those over 35.

Only 39% of young people with credit cards actually use the card to carry a balance. A quarter of those have no debt at all.

Of course, it's hard to get a credit card in the first place if you don't have a job, and that's the biggest challenge for today's younger workers.

Late Night Snacking

One in four people say they often get a hankering for a strange late-night snack! Researchers call this habit “concocting,” which is different from regular snacking in that it involves putting together bizarre (and often embarrassing) food combinations.

Some of the odd- and dare we say, gross-sounding- midnight snacks revealed in the study included scrambled eggs topped with sugar and vegetables covered in mayonnaise.
