A 32-year-old man in Maine with a penchant for whistling all throughout downtown Portland has struck a deal with the city. Robert Smith – who has been cited by police twice in the past year for disorderly conduct – has been granted permission to keep whistling, just as long as he doesn’t linger in one spot. Smith’s whistling is so loud it can be heard from a block away and it’s incessant – he’ll sometimes walk and whistle from 9 am to 5 pm! Only 39% of young people with credit cards actually use the card to carry a balance. A quarter of those have no debt at all.
Of course, it's hard to get a credit card in the first place if you don't have a job, and that's the biggest challenge for today's younger workers.
