45 singers made the trip from Oklahoma City to Hollywood. But if American Idol found a potential winner in the group, it was nearly impossible to tell from Thursday's audition show.
Some favorites included: Nate Tao, the son of two deaf parents, Kayden Stephenson, a 16-year-old with cystic fibrosis. But the nights most memorable audition, and it wasn't GOOD, was 19 year-old Zoanette Johnson. She promised her family she'd sing the national anthem if Barack Obama won a second term as president. Nope. No lip-synching here. Her audition included a patriotic rant, dramatic mood swings and a suggestion that the judges hurry up with their decision because she had a lunch appointment. Guess what? The judges sent her through to Hollywood. The show moves into Hollywood phase next week.
In New Orleans, Beyonce opened Thursday's press conference about the Super Bowl halftime show with a performance of the national anthem and finished by asking, "Any questions?" Despite the a cappella opening, media asked Beyonce to answer whether any sound came out of her mouth during her inauguration performance earlier this month. "Typically, they have you sing a pre-recorded track, so I did sing along with the pre-recorded track," she said, noting that she didn't have time to practice with the U.S. Marine Band. AS for Sunday, she will ABSOLUTELY be singing. OK, let's put it to rest now. No BIG deal.

Honey, You Look Great!
According to a new survey, if your spouse asks you how they look . . . they probably don't want the truth.
89% of people have asked their partner that question, but 61% said they wanted to hear that they looked good . . . even if it's a LIE. (Female First)

Money
Look to possibly pay even more for that new outfit or television.
Retailers in 40 states have been given the green light to charge up to 4% on top of your purchase IF you use your credit card. The reason -- because businesses get slapped with a 4% charge by the credit card company every time their card gets used. They're trying to recoup that cost.
So, instead of your new television costing $400, it'll now cost an additional $16. Maybe. Walmart and Home Depot want nothing to do with the charge, and neither does American Express. You can also avoid the fee by using your debit card.
Ten states are blocking the charge: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, NY, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Best advice: You'll always avoid trouble using cash.

Stop Being So Hard on Yourself Mom
Everyone is coming at you with advice on how to raise your kid. Listen, mom, it's okay to break a few rules... here are a few suggestions from The Stir:
Always setting a good example. You can let your kids see you make a mistake. They'll learn it's okay not to be perfect.
More than 30 minutes of TV a day will rot their brains. No it won't. Especially on a cold and rainy day.
Your kid's needs should always come first. Endless hours of Candyland will rot your brain. You need time for yourself.
Always be their biggest cheerleader. Guess what? They're not always right, plain and simple. To take your kid's side just because it's your kid doesn't teach them anything.

Instead of worrying about what people say of you, why not spend time trying to accomplish something they will admire. Dale Carnegie
