Scientists in the United Kingdom are able to print human embryonic stem cells, with the use of a 3D printer. The researchers printed small drops of biological ink that contained several cells from an embryonic human kidney and an embryonic cell line.
After testing, they found that 99-percent of the cells were viable and alive. The researchers hope to produce human liver tissue within several years, with actual organs being printed afterward.
